Cherokee Days of Recogintion (FESTIVAL)
Time: 10:00 AM to 6:00 PM
Location: Red Clay State Historic Park
This event is held to honor the Cherokee people and to promote the preservation of Cherokee culture. Visitors will experience the beautiful sights and sounds of both Cherokee traditional and fancy dancers. Cherokee artisans and crafts persons will be demonstrating and selling their wares both days. There will also be plenty of good food to sample. Special events this year will enclude a Cherokee stickball game and Cherokee flutist Michael Jacobs, along with our annual blowgun tournament and activities.
