The White Stripes Announce ‘Get Behind Me Satan’ 20th Anniversary Companion Release

To celebrate the 20th anniversary of the White Stripes’ Grammy-winning 2005 album, Get Behind Me Satan, Jack White’s Third Man Records announced that they are putting out an exclusive companion release to the album. Get Behind Me Satan XX will feature a variety of demos, alternate studio takes, and live versions of songs from the album, pressed on a colored vinyl 2LP set. Get Behind Me Satan XX will also include a Blu-Ray featuring a mini documentary of the band’s 2005 Central and South American Tour, and an exclusive 7-inch record featuring two rehearsal recordings of “Forever For Her (Is Over For Me)” and the never-before-released White Stripes rarity, “Spitting Tacks.” “Get Behind Me Satan is without question the most misunderstood entry in the White Stripes discography,” Third Man writes. “The record is most accurately described in Jack White’s own words as focused on the truth.” (Consequence of Sound
