Thom Yorke has reworked his unreleased track, “Gawpers,” into a new song titled “Dialing In,” which will serve as the opening theme for the upcoming Apple TV+ series, Smoke. Originally debuted at the Philharmonie de Paris in 2019, “Gawpers” was never officially released but has now been transformed into “Dialing In” for its role in the detective-featured series. Smoke is written and developed by Gone Baby Gone and Mystic River novelist Dennis Lehane, and is based on true events detailed in the podcast Firebug. The show will premiere on the streaming service on June 27. “Working with Thom Yorke was as much an honor for me as working with Clint Eastwood, Martin Scorsese or Richard Price,” Lehane said in a statement. “I’ve somehow been blessed with collaborating with living legends who were also formative influences on my own creative life.
