Afternoons: Scott Chase

ScottChase475

I was born in Evansville, Indiana and raised in Southern Indiana and Western Kentucky. I caught the radio bug in the mid 70’s as a freshman in College and never recovered.

I moved to Chattanooga as Program Director/Announcer with WSKZ (KZ106) on New Years Day 1985 and have since taken on additional duties as Operations Manager in charge of programming for the Cumulus Chattanooga stations.

Met my wife Julie at the city’s biggest festival, Riverbend, one year and didn’t see her again until the next year. We’ve been together ever since and married in 1989.  We have 3 children and two grandchildren.

Chattanooga is famous for outdoor activities and that’s great for me. I hunt, fish, hike, camp and hang out with the family and friends on the deck around our above ground pool. Nothing like a cold beer and barbeque basted with our award winning Old 41 BBQ sauce. May even throw up some sound gear with my band mate buddies and sing a tune with The Stratoblasters.

I was not an early adopter of technology, but now feel lost without the smart phone. Talk to you on the radio and on Facebook!
