Cumulus Media Classic Rock WSKZ (KZ106)/Chattanooga welcomes veteran rock radio personality Jeremy Loper to mornings as host of The Loper Show, following the retirement of the legendary John Boy & Billy Show on December 31. With more than three decades of major-market success, Loper brings an ultra-creative, personality-driven style built on authenticity, razor-sharp wit, and a nonstop commitment to entertaining listeners every single morning.
Loper has made a career out of creating unforgettable moments. He’s been spotlighted by outlets like TMZ, CNN, and Fox News and has pulled off headline-worthy stunts ranging from sneaking a show member into Tiger Woods’ 2009 press conference to helping West Palm Beach present Ozzy Osbourne with the Key to the City in under 24 hours. In June 2024, he again grabbed national attention during the Nashville Rock N’ Jock Celebrity Softball Game for Folds of Honor — colliding with NSYNC’s Chris Kirkpatrick at home plate, scoring the run, and then making the media rounds with Kirkpatrick afterward.
On stage, Loper has hosted some of rock’s biggest events including Rock on the Range, Sonic Temple, SunFest, and The Buzz Bake Sale, commanding crowds of thousands with the same energy and charisma he brings to radio. He also helped lead the movement that ultimately saved the Columbus Crew, reinforcing his reputation as a passionate voice with real influence.
Loper is deeply connected to mixed martial arts as well, serving as both play-by-play and color commentator for respected televised organizations such as Fight Time Promotions, NAAFS, and Rise of a Warrior, and is himself a certified Black Belt. He’s equally invested in giving back, spearheading a decade-long “Christmas in July” toy drive that has delivered thousands of toys to Nationwide Children’s Hospital, inspiring generosity throughout his community.
Before coming to Chattanooga, Loper most recently hosted mornings at 105.9 The Rock (WNRQ) Nashville, generating immediate ratings strength and street buzz. Prior to that, he spent 12 years dominating mornings in Columbus, OH, with the top-rated Loper & Randi in the Morning on 99.7 The Blitz, one of the most recognized and talked-about shows in the market. He also extends his influence beyond terrestrial radio through The Loper Show, a multi-platform podcast and video series featuring rock artists, MMA personalities, and cultural voices.
