Slash Declares That He “Will No Longer Be Active” On X/Twitter

On Tuesday (April 8), Slash announced his departure from X/Twitter due to repeated hacks and a desire to change his communication methods. The Guns N’ Roses guitarist directed fans to instead follow him on other social platforms like Instagram, TikTok, and Facebook for updates. Slash did not reference X/Twitter owner Elon Musk in his statement, but he did say that the platform “reflects a shift in how I’d like to stay connected moving forward” while emphasizing his decision to disconnect from the social media site. Fans can catch Slash on G N’ R’s upcoming international tour in May – which will feature their new drummer Isaac Carpenter – with support for those shows coming from Public Enemy, Rival Sons, and Sex Pistols Featuring Frank Carter. Guns N’ Roses also recently announced that they will be performing at the final Black Sabbath concert in Birmingham, England, on July 5. (Consequence of Sound)
