Ozzy Osbourne Says “‘I’ll Do The Best I Can” Ahead Of His Final Show With Black Sabbath

While preparing for his final show with Black Sabbath, Ozzy Osbourne gave an extensive interview with The Guardian where he revealed how he is approaching this historic performance. “I’ve got a vocal coach coming round four days a week to keep my voice going,” Osbourne says, while admitting “I have problems walking” due to his Parkinson’s diagnosis. “I’m used to doing two hours on stage, jumping and running around,” Osbourne says. “I don’t think I’ll be doing much jumping or running around this time. I may be sitting down, but the point is I’ll be there, and I’ll do the best I can. So all I can do is turn up.” The original four Sabbath members will be joined by an all-star lineup – including Metallica, Tool, Slayer, Guns N’ Roses, Anthrax, and more – for the Back to the Beginning charity concert in Birmingham, England on July 5, which will mark Osbourne’s final live performance. “I’d love to say ‘never say never’, but after the last six years or so … it is time,” he said. “I don’t want to die in a hotel room somewhere. I want to spend the rest of my life with my family.” (Rolling Stone)
