Barbra Streisand Records New Song For Upcoming Series ‘The Tattooist Of Auschwitz’

Barbra Streisand has recorded a new song, “Love Will Survive”, for an upcoming television series.

“Love Will Survive,” Streisand’s first-ever recording for a television series, is for the upcoming Sky and Peacock original series, The Tattooist of Auschwitz.

Composed by Hans Zimmer in collaboration with Kara Talve and Walter Afanasieff, the song features lyrics by Charlie Midnight. The single drops on April 25, ahead of the series’ May 2 premiere date.

“Because of the rise in antisemitism around the world today, I wanted to sing ‘Love Will Survive’ in the context of this series, as a way of remembering the six-million souls who were lost less than 80 years ago,” Streisand said in a statement. “And also to say that even in the darkest of times, the power of love can triumph and endure.”

The series stars Harvey Keitel, Melanie Lynskey, Jonah Hauer-King, Anna Prochniak, and Jonas Nay.

The series is based on the bestselling novel of the same name by New Zealand novelist Heather Morris. The book tells the story of how Slovakian Jew Lale Sokolov, who was imprisoned at Auschwitz in 1942, fell in love with a girl he was tattooing at the concentration camp.
