Deep Purple Announce North American Tour In Support Of New Album

Deep Purple have announced a North American tour in support of their upcoming album =1.

The legendary rock band’s latest album will be released on July 19.

“Taking the US by storm this summer Deep Purple will be shaking the walls of arenas, with an explosive lineup of unforgettable hits taken from their repertoire of rock spanning over half a century,” says a press release about the “= 1 More Time” tour.

The band will join forces with Yes for the 19-city tour beginning August 14 in Hollywood, Florida, and wrapping up in Scranton, PA, on September 8.

The band, consisting of frontman Ian Gillan, bassist Roger Glover, drummer Ian Paice, keyboardist Don Airey and guitarist Simon McBride, will kick off the “=1 More Time Tour” after spending the first half of the summer touring around the U.K. and Europe.
