Trailer For ‘Metallica Saved My Life’ Documentary Premieres, Celebrating Four Decades Of Band Fandom

In the just released teaser trailer for the new documentary, Metallica Saved My Life, fans of the heavy metal band share their personal and powerful stories, celebrating the deep connection and sense of community formed through their love of Metallica’s music. Directed by Jonas Åkerlund, the documentary captures four decades of fan camaraderie, highlighting how Metallica’s music has provided solace and unity in the face of adversity. The unfinished film project will be shown in select theaters for one night only in the cities included on the band’s M72 Tour, starting on April 18. “Not quite finished yet, we want YOU to be among the first to see our latest film project by award-winning director Jonas Åkerlund, all about the lifeblood of this band: the fans,” the band wrote on Instagram. “This documentary explores our world through the lives of fans who have supported each other through highs, lows, trials, and triumphs for over four decades.” (Rolling Stone)
